Our Mission

Based right here in Rockingham County, ADTS enhances the quality of life for individuals by empowering them to achieve optimum health and well-being, independence and participation in the community.

Our vision is to become the go-to source for programs that enable our neighbors (in particular the elderly, people with disabilities and their families) to remain in their homes, to enjoy a higher quality of life and to have easy access to needed community resources and services.

We serve with respect and care, while treating everyone with the highest degree of dignity, quality and trust. We continually develop our knowledge, skills and resources to provide services that support independence, offer hope and creatively meet each individual’s needs.

We are responsive to the concerns and needs of family and friends of the people we serve. We work collaboratively with family and friends to continually develop opportunities to enhance quality of life while recognizing strengths and assets.

We value community support and utilize resources wisely, working together to enrich the lives of the people we serve. We deliver high quality, innovative services and programs to our community. We recognize that volunteer time, contributions and community interest make our work possible.

We show pride, enthusiasm and dedication in everything we do. We appreciate and support each other, recognizing the importance of each of our contributions. All team members are encouraged to openly share their opinions and views. We accept responsibility for our actions, utilizing experience and judgement for sound decision-making and derive personal satisfaction from the services we provide.

I’m not able to cook for myself, so Meals on Wheels is a blessing to me. The people that bring my meals are so nice.

I just love these people.  Most days, they’re the only people I see, and the meals are great!

My aide comes every day. She helps me bathe and get dressed. She cooks wonderful meals and treats me like I am family.
