Who We Are
Our Organization
Aging, Disability and Transit Services (ADST) of Rockingham County, Inc., (formerly Council on Aging) is a private, nonprofit agency, that has been operating in Rockingham County since 1973. We are dedicated to assisting and linking senior adults, people with disabilities and their families with information, opportunities and services that promote and enhance quality of life, and to meeting the local transportation needs of Rockingham County citizens.
ADTS currently has four major division/programs that respond to the needs of our community:
In Home Services
- Home Care Block Grant
- Medicaid Services/ CAP-DA
- Private Pay Aide
Nutrition Services
- Meals on Wheels
- Meals with Friends Nutrition Sites
RCATS - Public Access Transit
Friendship Adult Day Center
With Rockingham County's elderly population expected to double over the next 25 years and already-existing waiting lists, ADTS is striving to meet the growing demand for services and constantly looking for opportunities to meet unmet needs.
