Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels for the homebound elderly began in 1987.  There are 6 routes for those living w/in the city limits of Reidsville, Eden , Madison-Mayodan and Stoneville.  There is also a frozen meal program for those living outside the city limits, in the more rural areas of  Rockingham County.  Meals are delivered M-F by volunteers and twice a month for the frozen meal program.  To be eligible a person must be:  60 years of age or older, homebound(except of medical visits), experiencing difficulty with meal preparation , a Rockingham County resident and must have no one willing or able to prepare the noonday meal. Voluntary donations for this program increase availability of meals. 

Meals with Friends

Meals With Friends (Congregate Nutrition) is the sister program to Meals on Wheels and is open to anyone 60 years of age or older. There are 4 sites throughout Rockingham County offering a hot nutritious meal and a wide variety of activities. The sites are open 9:00am until 1:00pm., Monday-Thursday.  Voluntary donations for this program increase availability of meals.  The locations are:
