What We Do
Friendship Adult Day Center
The Friendship Adult Day Center provides a safe, caring environment for adults who need daily supervision, socialization, and assistance with the activities of daily life. A calendar outlines the center's plans for the month. The Friendship Center is a great place for older adults or adults with disabilities who need specialized care but want to continue living in their own homes or community setting for as long as possible.
Services Provided
Structured activities, nutritious meals, and social programs are provided. The daily staff includes a center director, a program director and activity coordinator.
In addition to offering a fun and safe place for participants, the Friendship Adult Day Center allows caregivers to work and take care of other family responsibilities during the day with the knowledge that their relatives are safe.
Eligibility
The Friendship Center is especially for people who would benefit from a safe environment and enjoy, singing, dancing, talking, exercising, working with crafts, laughing, volunteering or just people watching. The Friendship Center is designed for people who can generally care for their own needs and are able to walk unassisted. A pre-admission assessment is conducted by staff during a visit to the center.
Cost of Services
The cost is $35.00 a day. Financial assistance is available for individuals with limited resources. Persons using these funds are given the opportunity to share in the cost of service by giving what they can afford.
